"The state that does not safeguard those who defend it, paying with their lives, is not worth a pin," the Head of State emphasized.

Among the first beneficiaries of this initiative are border guards Lieutenant Eduard Atrashkevych, who has been defending Ukraine since 2014, and Colonel Oleksandr Marchuk, whose unit bravely carried out tasks storming enemy positions in the Zaporizhzhia direction.

During the certificate presentation to the heroes and their families, Volodymyr Zelenskyi assured, "The state will take care of each of them – those who are with us and the families of all those who have given their lives for the country. This is the least we can do for all those who heroically defended and continue to defend our Motherland."
